The Storage Loft FAQs

How can I pay my bill?
You can pay via credit card, debit card, or ACH transfer. Many of our customers prefer to set up an automatic credit card payment through their personal bank, which we’re happy to do!

Is there any way I can get a discount?
If you set up automatic payment and pay for a year in advance, we’ll give you a 10% discount. We’re always happy to help our clients snag a deal on self storage.

How much does a storage unit cost?
The cost of storage depends on the amount of space you need. Our prices start as low as $38.52 per month for a small unit and go up in size and price from there. Our objective is to assess your needs and then provide you with the right amount of space for a price you can afford.

What kind of security do you have?
First, our facility is open Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 6 PM and Saturday - Sunday 9 AM - 3 PM, when we always have employees onsite. Some companies offer 24-hour access, but this feature can actually invite unwanted activity. By closing down for the night, we can help ensure the safety of your things. We also have video cameras and equipment set up to keep a close watch on the property. Our facility is equipped with an alarm system, and every unit will be provided a high quality Disc lock.

What is required in order to sign up and rent a unit?
We ask you to provide us with your current address, a telephone number by which we can reach you, an alternate contact in case of emergencies, and to present your drivers license or photo ID. You will also be asked to sign a contract and to pay the first month's rent.

What are your hours of operation?
The Storage Loft is conveniently open Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 6 PM and Saturday - Sunday 9 AM - 3 PM.
Are your units heated and air conditioned?
The building is heated and air conditioned, allowing us to decrease levels of humidity in the summer. We call this “four season climate control,” as it safeguards from unnecessary damage while in storage – no matter what time of year.

Can you help me move my stuff once I arrive at the facility?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you move your belongings. It is very important that you bring help with you if you need assistance on move-in day.  If you need moving assistance we can provide you some of our moving partners to assist you in your moving needs.

What do you mean when you say your company is locally owned and operated?
Rather than outsiders opening up a big chain, our staff lives and works in the Omaha area. A lot of facilities say they’re locally owned but are really exercising “absentee ownership,” wherein the owners are never actually around. That’s not the case here – our facility owners are involved in every facet of the day-to-day business, ensuring that you always receive the best service and the best product.

Where can I park at your facility?
Since our property is located in downtown Omaha, this is a question many of our renters ask. We have our own parking lot with ample space. You won’t have to park blocks away or pay for a meter on move-in day – simply park your car outside and enjoy an easy unloading process!

What kinds of customers rent with you?
Right now we’re assisting a large population of military members and university students, as well as urban dwellers. Many of our customers are young professionals enjoying downtown life. No matter what your situation may be, we’re eager to help you, too!
